*All accounts must be settled PRIOR to launch of vessel.  Boats staying longer than 30 days must settle accounts at the end of each 30-day period. *Progress payments will be requested every 30 days on long-term projects. 

 

*NO outside contractors or paid labor will be permitted.  All work on vessels must be done by owner/authorized persons only. MLBW contractors are available to you for professional services. Commercial vessels may utilize their crew to perform work on their vessel if insurance certificates are up to date and provided to the yard. Guests or authorized workers of the owner will need to sign a waiver release in yard office. All owners, workers or guests are also agreeing to the yard policies mentioned in this document.                                                                                                                  

 

*Commercial Grade-Vacuum sanding is REQUIRED. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN VACCUM SANDER. Wet-sanding/scrubbing of the bottom is strictly prohibited. Grinding, spray painting, or sand blasting operations must be contained by tenting and performed with approved systems. Proper permits and approval must be obtained prior to haul out. DO NOT HOSE DOWN OR SWEEP WITH A BROOM any areas around your boat.  Keep all areas under and around your boat swept & cleaned up daily.  If chemicals/acids are used, tarps must be used to capture all residue. *All paint, cans, brushes, rollers, roller trays, oil, solvents, batteries, contaminated fuels, etc. must be disposed of properly. Please ask yard staff for disposal locations. Owners of all vessels and all persons working on related boats must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding storage, use and removal of above referenced items and hazardous materials. ***MLBW does not supply/rent any equipment. Customers are required to supply their own tools for their projects.

 

*All materials must be purchased from the yard store. There is a $100.00 per gallon surcharge on any bottom paint not purchased from the yard store.

*Discharge of grey, bilge or black water is prohibited. Please ensure all automatic pumps are shut off prior to haul-out.

*Movement of any boat stands or unchaining of any boat may only be done by boat yard personnel.

 

*Parking is available on Sandholdt Road outside of the boatyard. Please load/unload supplies to your boat and park on the street. If you need your vehicle parked near your boat, please notify yard staff for instructions. NO overnight parking in the boatyard.

 

*Personal and vessel property is the responsibility of owners and should be secured. All removable items are stored entirely at the owner’s risk.

*Ladders and rolling platforms are provided for safety and are available in a limited quantity. Please be prepared, if necessary, to bring your own ladder. Liability is solely assumed by the user.                                         

 

*Moss Landing Boat Works is NOT responsible for vessel’s structural weakness or any damage caused by lifting the vessel due to structural weaknesses, or improper strap placement. It is the vessel owner’s responsibility to indicate proper placement of the straps to avoid damage. Vessel owners are responsible to secure all sails, rigging, equipment etc., prior to haul-out. Moss Landing Boat Works is not responsible for boats that may fall over due to sails opening or sail damage.

 

*Vehicles, equipment, and the Travelift are always in use in the yard, you must be aware of these and always allow for safe movement of them.

 

*Lay days occur regardless of weather, weekends, or holidays and will not be waived while waiting for parts. One lay day will be waived for each day that boatyard employees work six (6) or more hours on your boat.  Lays days beyond 30 days will be charged at $3.00 per ft per day and will be strictly enforced. Long term rates may be arranged prior to your haul-out.

*Owners, guests and workers on the premises of Moss Landing Boat Works agree upon signing to waive ALL claims of liability against the boatyard including, but not limited to personal injury, death, expense, damage, theft or destruction of any property.  You agree that your presence in or around the boatyard is completely and entirely at your own risk.

*Children and pets must always be supervised in the yard. Dogs must be kept on leash at all times.

 

*If Moss Landing Boat Works initiates legal action, proceedings, or enforcement to recover any unpaid charges, you agree to pay all costs of collection and court fees; including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees.             

*Finance Charges of 1.5% will be incurred to all accounts that have a balance due past 30 days

*Failure to pay account balances may result in a LEIN SALE placed on you/your vessel. MLBW may also assign your

debt to an outside collection agency.
